What Causes Heartburn
Depends Upon The Symptoms Like Acid Regurgitation, Breathing
Problems Etc.
Nowadays most of the people experience heartburn problems
given the lifestyle we lead, and yet at the same time, most
people don't have a clue as to what causes heartburn. There are
so many reasons behind heartburn that one cannot be sure of
what might be the cause, in each individual case.
Erratic and unhealthy eating habits, a busy lifestyle along
with stressful life, all these contribute to a large extent in
creating problems like heartburn. Today's eating habits usually
include fast and junk foods that are either fatty or not easily
digestible and this in turn results in digestive problems.
Heartburn is actually the burning sensation felt behind your
heart generally within one hour after meal. What happens is the
wall that separates stomach and esophagus becomes week or stops
working and the stomach acids back flow into esophagus, which
results in burning discomfort behind your heart. Acid
regurgitation is also one of the symptoms of heartburn and can
be subsided with the help of medicines.
What causes heartburn is a very complicated question,
because it does not have one particular cause and the causes
vary from person to person. Sometimes heartburn symptoms are
confused with symptoms of heart attack and vice versa. So it is
important that if pain is severe and you find difficulty in
breathing, you should consult your doctor immediately. Usually
if you can change your eating habits and include nutritional
food and fiber in your diet it is the best way to keep
heartburn problem away from you. Changing your diet will help a
lot if you experience frequent heartburn like more than two to
three times a week. Heartburn should not be ignored but treated
immediately so that problem is checked at the very first
stage.
Over 90% of heartburn cases are due to wrong eating habits
and if this is checked you can get rid of heartburn problem.
Too much pressure on stomach either external or internal also
causes heartburn so overeating should also be avoided. The
antacids available artificially form a foam on the stomach and
blocks the stomach acid to flow back to mouth and in this way
relieves immediately from heartburn. Sometimes the symptoms of
heartburn are also mistaken and people think it to be peptic
ulcer because in peptic ulcer also there is burning pain in
abdomen usually between breastbone and naval. So there can be
lot of reason and symptoms similar to many diseases other than
heartburn. What causes heartburn can be confused if trial and
error method is applied.
